يعتزم كرسي اليونسكو للتراث العالمي والسياحـــة المستدامــــــة في المنطقة العربيـــــــة تأسيس متحف افتراضي لذاكــــــرة بهلاء المجتمعية – فإذا كان لديكم مقتنيات تحمل ذكريات خاصـــــة لكم ولأســــركم شاركونا إياهــــا لنقوم بتصوريها بشكل ثلاثي الأبعاد لتضمينها في المتحف.✨

يمكن أن تكون تلك المقتنيات في شكل صور فوتوغرافية مخطوطات حلي ملابس أواني وأدوات أو حتى سيارات. يمكن أيضا أن تشاركنا الذكــــرى التي تربطكم بهذا المقتنى التراثي.
سيظهر المقتنى في المتحف الرقمي يحمل اسمكم وذكرياتكــــم – إلا إذا لديكم تحفظ على هذا الأمـــر 🙏🏻

The 14th of November marks the International Day a

The 14th of November marks the International Day against Illicit Trafficking in Cultural Property, designated by UNESCO in 2019 during its 40th General Conference to highlight the serious effects of illegal trade in cultural artifacts. This practice deprives communities of their cultural history, often taking significant artifacts from archaeological sites or museums. Such loss weakens a country’s cultural identity and diminishes the shared heritage of humanity. Through this day, UNESCO emphasizes the importance of preserving these irreplaceable items and calls for increased efforts to protect cultural heritage for future generations.

يوافق يوم 14 نوفمبر اليوم الدولي لمكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع بالممتلكات الثقافية، والذي أقرّته اليونسكو في عام 2019 خلال مؤتمرها العام الأربعين لتسليط الضوء على الآثار الخطيرة للتجارة غير المشروعة في القطع الأثرية الثقافية. تحرم هذه الممارسات المجتمعات من تاريخها الثقافي، حيث تُنتزع القطع الأثرية المهمة غالبًا من المواقع الأثرية أو المتاحف. ويتسبب هذا الفقد في إضعاف الهوية الثقافية للدولة وتقليل التراث المشترك للبشرية. من خلال هذا اليوم، تؤكد اليونسكو على أهمية الحفاظ على هذه القطع التي لا يمكن تعويضها، وتدعو إلى تعزيز الجهود لحماية التراث الثقافي للأجيال القادمة.

On the 18th of November, we honor the International Day of Islamic Art which was established first in 2019 during the 40th General Conference of the UNESCO to showcase both historical and modern artistic expressions of Islam while showcasing how Islamic art has enriched global civilization and culture. 🤍

Therefore, we are here to give you some facts about the Islamic Art:
- Typically, most of the Islamic Arts are non-figurative and mainly contain calligraphy and geometric patterns.
- Islamic art has existed for over 1000 years.
- Islamic art does not necessarily come from only Muslim artists.
- Islamic art comes from different countries around the world, not just Arab countries such as Spain, North Africa and Turkey.

في 18 نوفمبر، نحتفل باليوم الدولي للفن الإسلامي، الذي تم إقراره لأول مرة في عام 2019 خلال المؤتمر العام الأربعين لليونسكو. يهدف هذا اليوم إلى إبراز التعبيرات الفنية الإسلامية، سواء التاريخية أو الحديثة، وإظهار كيف أسهم الفن الإسلامي في إثراء الحضارة والثقافة العالمية. 🤍

لذلك، نشارككم بعض الحقائق عن الفن الإسلامي:
- عادةً ما يكون معظم الفن الإسلامي غير تصويري ويعتمد بشكل أساسي على الخطوط والزخارف الهندسية.
- يعود تاريخ الفن الإسلامي إلى أكثر من 1000 عام.
- الفن الإسلامي ليس بالضرورة من إنتاج فنانين مسلمين فقط.
- الفن الإسلامي يأتي من دول مختلفة حول العالم، وليس فقط من الدول العربية، مثل إسبانيا وشمال إفريقيا وتركيا.

On this National Day, we recognize Oman’s profou

On this National Day, we recognize Oman’s profound heritage and the historical treasures that contribute to its national pride and cultural wealth 🌟

Let’s find out together the 5 World Heritage Sites that are officially registered at the UNESCO World Heritage list!

1. The first site to be registered in the World Heritage List in 1987 is Bahla Fort which was used by the Banu Nebhan between the 12th to the end of 15th century.

2. ⁠the second site which was inscribed on the World Heritage List is the Archaeological sites of Bat, Al-Khutm and Al-Ayn in 1988. These sites represent the most comprehensive collection of settlements and necropolises from the 3rd millennium B.C. worldwide!

3. ⁠Land of Frankincense is the third inscribed site in the World Heritage List which was in 2000. In this site we can explore and learn the trees that produced frankincense and the story of their trade for many centuries since the ancient and medieval times!

4. ⁠Aflaj Irrigation Systems of Oman are the fourth sites that were registered in Oman in the year 2006, these systems which are divided into 5 are scattered in different parts of Oman and were used from around AD 500 until this moment for different purposes such as irrigation!

5. ⁠the last site that was registered in Oman which was in 2018 is the Ancient City of Qalhat, this city which includes a Mosque, Bibi Maryam Mausoleum, Hammam and Necropolises was a major port on the east coast of Arabia between the 11th and 15th Centuries AD specifically during the reign of Hormuz princes.
